Nikita Coulombe
Colorado and Texas-based artist Nikita Coulombe is known for her detailed wildlife and bold abstract paintings. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, she started creating art at a young age, spending many hours during the long winters with pencil and paper. Later, she studied art and psychology at the University of Colorado. She initially pursued psychology, developing a deeper interest in our “shadow” selves and the tension that can exist between the parts of ourselves that we choose to acknowledge and those we do not. This curiosity is reflected in her artwork; the themes of her paintings largely revolve around nature, the human experience, and the balance of our inner and outer worlds.
