Associate Interior Designer
Location: Dallas, Texas (In-Person)

The Collective is a full-service interior design studio and boutique based in Dallas, specializing in luxury residential interiors and construction projects nationwide. Our work is rooted in a collaborative, all-encompassing approach—where each space is thoughtfully curated to reflect the people who live there. We believe that beautiful living is defined by environments that are both meaningful and functional, layered with pieces that tell a story.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a refined eye, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating timeless, personalized interiors. You will support the design team through all phases of the process, contributing to projects that are both highly curated and deeply client-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing design concepts that feel cohesive, intentional, and reflective of each client’s storyCreate presentation materials including mood boards, finish palettes, and design decks

Source furnishings, textiles, lighting, antiques, and accessories with a thoughtful, layered approach, demonstrating a strong understanding of high-end materials and appropriate applications (e.g., upholstery vs. drapery vs. decorative use)

Produce detailed drawings and renderings (AutoCAD or Revit), including demo plans, construction plans, renovation plans, cabinetry drawings, elevations, and furniture floorplans to scale

Prepare and maintain FF&E schedules, specifications, and all project documentation with a high level of accuracy

Coordinate directly with vendors, artisans, and contractors to obtain pricing, manage projects, and ensure seamless execution

Communicate professionally with clients via email and assist with project correspondence as needed

Support installations and final styling, ensuring every detail is executed thoughtfully

Maintain organization of samples, materials library, and all digital project files (Google Drive, Sheets, etc.)

Collaborate across multiple projects and provide support to team members as needed to meet deadlines
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited interior design program1–3 years of experience in residential interior design (internships considered)

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.

Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, including plans, elevations, cabinetry details, and scaled furniture floorplans

Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and textiles, particularly within high-end residential design

Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Calendar) and Canva
-
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong communication skills, with confidence in vendor coordination and client-facing correspondence

Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support others and step in where needed

Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment, with flexibility to occasionally extend hours to meet project demands

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate
Location: Our brick and mortar boutique in East Dallas
Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours per week including some Saturdays)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a polished, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our boutique team. You’ll represent our brand by delivering outstanding service, maintaining the showroom’s appearance, and helping clients discover pieces that reflect their personal style.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and engage clients in a warm, professional manner

Provide expert knowledge of products, materials, and design options

Assist clients in selecting items that suit their needs and aesthetics

Maintain visual merchandising standards and showroom cleanliness

Process sales transactions with accuracy and care
Follow up with clients post-purchase to ensure satisfaction -
Support inventory management and restocking as needed

Support e-commerce purchases with communication, shipping, and follow up
Requirements:

Previous retail experience, preferably in luxury or home furnishings

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A polished and professional appearance

Passion for interior design and home décor

Comfortable working with a POS system and digital tools (Shopify)

Available to work some Saturdays
