Glass snuff bottle featuring a traditional, detailed landscape scene with swans, paired with a vibrant red stopper. This specific piece showcases the intricate art of reverse-painting or inside-painting on glass, also referred to as Neihua. Skilled artisans use tiny, specialized L-shaped brushes inserted through the narrow bottleneck to paint detailed landscapes, figures, and calligraphy backwards onto the interior walls of the glass or crystal. Please note, this stopper no longer has the original scoop for dried tobacco, and has been replaced with a soft stopper attachment at some point in its lifetime.
