SARAH HARGRAVE
Owner + Principal Designer

With over 10 years experience in construction and interior design, Sarah offers a very broad spectrum of capabilities. A former builder, Sarah understands every aspect of the construction of a home, whether it’s a new build, remodel, or turnkey property. This has given her the uncanny ability to strictly manage budgets, timelines, and to have a vision long before a property is completed. Sarah works with her team to manage a stress-free design process from start to finish. Her passion is vintage furniture, so in April of 2017, Sarah opened her first storefront, The Collective, that houses an art gallery, custom furniture studio, vintage pieces from her travels, and a huge rug collection. Her goal with the shop remains the same today as when it was founded: design should be attainable for everyone and available to everyone because there is no more important place than home. Sarah attended Texas A&M University along with her husband Erik and have resided in Lakewood for several years.

Madison has been with Sarah since the inception of The Collective and manages the financial aspects of running the business. She focuses on day to day business operations, analysis, and reporting. Madison is extremely organized and focused, helping balance the creative aspect. As an avid traveler and with a background in fashion, Madison has a keen eye for unique fabrics, artwork and loves a good rug. Madison grew up in Dallas and went to SMU where she majored in business. Clients often ask if Madison is coming to every meeting because her infectious, bubbly personality is unforgettable.

With a dynamic background working at nationally ranked museums and a Fortune 100 company, Alisa is our Studio Manager who strives to make every customer experience enriched and unique. Her insight and passion for the collaboration of art and design brings an energy and approachability to our Team at The Collective. She believes each day can be made brighter by surrounding oneself in an environment of quality art and design, all without taking itself too seriously. Alisa attended the University of Oklahoma where she majored in Art History, and minored in both Interior Design and Business. After working in the corporate world for a number of years, she is passionate about her return to working with curated art and custom design.
LAURA CATE ROBERTS
Design Associate & Project Manager

Laura Cate provides a fresh outlook and an advanced skill set to the design team. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop, she helps cultivate a life-like depiction of our projects to aid clients in visualizing their future spaces. Laura Cate graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship from Baylor University. With her diverse educational, commercial and residential design background, she also plays an integral role in space planning and furniture and finish selections, as well as procurement and final implementation. In her spare time, she enjoys being out on the lake, going on walks and spending time with her friends and family. She is eager to learn and grow and looks forward to watching her design dreams come to fruition.
